- Spring skipped us and went straight to summer. For 3 months, we've had nothing but rain. Now it is sunny and in the 90's. We totally missed the 70's ....so sad.
- IT IS ABOUT TIME....Hillary FINALLY suspended her campaign and backed Obama. Hmmm....interesting that she only suspended it...she must still be waiting for some act of God to befall Obama and make her the nominee. Regardless.....GO OBAMA!!!!!
- Oil prices are at an all time high....Bush's approval rating is at an all time low! Coincidence? I think not!
- Chocolate donuts....I'm eating one right now. Ok, not even just chocolate ones....it doesn't matter what kind of donut it is. I love them and I do think about them often!
- I just read that the high gas prices have now made the Humvee extinct.....no more new Humvees. I can show a picture of one to Zander when he's older and tell him..."Your momma once wore combat boots AND drove this cool vehicle....the Hummer." I want him to think I'm cool but obey me at the same time. We'll see how that goes.....
- The next Harry Potter film is due to be released on November 21st this year. I LOVE the books and enjoy the movies as well. One of my dreams before I die is to write a book...maybe it could be the next big novel to take the world by storm. Doubtful, but I'll never know til I write it. I've got this idea about a charmed nearsighted boy. I was thinking of calling him Barry Kotter......
- I haven't been sick once since I got back from Mexico 3 weeks ago. That is my best record since at least November. Apparently, going to Mexico cured me. I guess I will need to take a trip there every spring. Will a doctor's note get me some sort of discount?
- I think I need a custom banner for my blog! As luck would have it, there is a new contest going on over at EightCrazy Designs! Its a lazy day...I have a good story to tell about this weekend, but I'm too tired to type it all out right now. That's right, its Sunday afternoon and I'm lazy! So, here's what is on my mind right now:

Regarding no. 5: Could I please see a picture of you in combat boots standing beside a humvee? Becasue as the mother of a toddler myself I have to say that sooner or later we have to come to terms with the fact that the very pic that we hope will convince them "we're cool" will in fact, mortify them. :)

Yes, donuts are good. After I had Izzy, I made my husband buy me Dunkin Donuts. Mmmmmm.
We must live close to one another, because we are suddenly in the middle of a heat wave. It is like 100 degrees outside.
Hold it, I am working on a book right now and I called it, "Mary Trotter" and that sounds just a little hokey that you would be doing one called "Barry Kotter" ... hmmm
We must live near each other (Indiana?!) because we have gone from wet, cool spring to HOT and rain all the freaking time. The town I teach in has had record flooding this weekend. Homes have been destroyed...the hospital was evacuated and is still closed. So thankful to be safe, cool, and dry in my home.
