Favorite Things - "L" Edition

I'm doing the fun Favorite Things challenge from Jennifer at The Fun House. This is where you have to list 10 of your favorite things...but they all have to start with the letter that was assigned to you. Jen assigned me the letter "L".....this is seriously harder than it originally looked.

So, in Sesame Street fashion....this post is brought to you today by the letter "L" and the number "10":

1. Lost - This is far and away one of my most favorite shows EVER!!!! (and I watch A LOT of tv). I think it is brilliantly written.....sometimes it moves so fast I can barely keep up. And lots of eye candy.....LOVE the eye candy (Hi, Sawyer! ;) )

2. Laying on a beach - Love a lazy day on the beach.....pretty much any beach. As long as I'm warm and take a dip in the water every now and again....well that is just a perfect day! Since I live in St. Louis and am landlocked, I appreciate this even more!

3. Licking the beaters - Yes, I still do this! I have to enjoy it every time now....because pretty soon Zander will catch on to this and take the beaters away for himself!!!

4. Liberty - Yes, freedom is important....but I'm actually referring to my Jeep! I have always wanted a Jeep (its a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand).....now I have Libby the Liberty...and she has been dependable in all kinds of weather. She's quite a little gas guzzler....but she's paid for....so I have to go with the flow.

5. Lyman - this is my dad's name.....seriously, I cannot make that up! While none of us are really fond of the name.....I do love the man. He's been a good husband to my mother....and a great father to my sister and I......and I can't say enough about the kind of Grandfather he is. He just couldn't be more proud of all of his grandkids...and great grandkids! And he is Zander's buddy!!!! Yep, he's definitely a fav of mine!

6. London - I spent a couple of months here in 2002 when I was training some fellow employees "across the pond". I was less than impressed with the weather.....but there were a lot of things to love. Like just walking around and looking at the history...the huge beautiful churches, Big Ben, Parliament, the bridges...etc. The people were extremely nice as well....and they really liked Americans. It was after 9-11 and I found they were very sympathetic and supportive of Americans....while at the same time...being very cautious of Bush...and even then I couldn't have agreed with them more. Also, this is the place where I discovered my love of Indian food!!! They have wonderful Indian restaurants. The beer was awful...so I got drunk on wine all of the time too....I cannot handle wine! Oh, and I liked riding the tube too...is that wrong? Mind the gap!

7. Laughter - I love to laugh. I like to make people laugh. Laughter is contagious right? And, if you laugh hard enough....you can lose weight (I remember hearing this in a Simpson's episode and I loved it - "Laugh harder, Marge....you'll lose weight.)

8. Long haired cats - Well, I have 2 of them and I think they are beautiful!!! Who am I kidding...I love all cats.....but I had to make it start with a "L"!

9. Lord of the Rings - I LOVED all 3 movies....I read the book......I'm addicted. Those 2 long haired cats I referred to earlier have middle names from the movie too (Demitra Gandalf and Gideon Aragorn)...(I had a 3rd cat at the time of the 1st movie too....her name was Tabitha Galadriel - I still miss you, Tabbyboo)...so yes, I'm a fan. Which leads me to my favorite character from the movie....

10. Legolas - The most gorgeous Elf ever!!! This is the character that made me first fall in love with Orlando Bloom. I will leave you with this:

If you want to take the challenge, let me know and I'll assign you a letter too!

As we say in my house.......

Later Tater....

Man, that was hard. I am impressed that you made it all the way to 10. And your dad's name is strange. I have never heard of that before.
