First of all, I would like to thank everything that commented yesterday and reassured me I am not Mommy Dearest and those of you that shared your stories with me to let me know that we are all going through this Parent Trap together......the good, the bad & the ugly!!!
We did have a better day yesterday and I'll have lots of pictures to post tomorrow for Candid Carrie's Fx4!
I wanted to point everyone to Mozi Esme today and to a specific post. I've run across this blog several times (I think from Candid Carrie's as well)...but a week or so ago I came across a very moving post about the Zimbabwean Tragedy. Haven't heard of it? I hadn't either....and therein lies the problem....
Now, this is 2008 people, there is really NO reason whatsoever for anyone to be starving. It seems the world has gotten so small its just inconceivable that anyone should be left with nothing.
So, Esme's mom wants to have a couple of weeks worth of giveaways on her blog in December to raise awareness for this cause. I plan on donating something to the giveaway. I just wanted to post about this now though in case anyone out there reading this would like to participate. I know there are oodles of you crafty people out there and if you are so moved about this cause then hopefully we can all make a difference by raising awareness.
I don't have a lot....but I know I am seriously blessed because my child is healthy and has food and medical care when he needs it...we have a home....I have a job and a car.....we make it! If I had to wake up and worry if Zander was going to get to eat that day.....I don't know how hard that burden would be to bare.
Anyway, I don't want to bring anyone down. I just wanted to point you to this blog so you can participate if you would like.
Lastly, this week was not a total bust for Zander and I. There were good moments too....I was just whiny and overwhelmed last night. Here's one of his cuter moments:
***If you can't understand him at the end....he pointed to himself and said "Z" and then pointed to the singing duck and said "chick".*** And I hope you ignored my messy living room in the background....

Glad you had a better day and realize we ALL think (know) we are bad mothers from time to time.
Now, could you stop with the cuteness? The clapping, the dimples, the no pants. Seriously...I am sure the kid has pants but I apprecaite the fact that he never wears them because the chubby legs are SO DANG CUTE!
Karla, that is one cute video, brought back many memories of similar moments. It's such little treasures that make up for all the poopy diapers.
Thanks heaps for that link to Mozi Esmé. The situation in Zimbabwe is attrocious. The thing that stunned me most was the sheer proportion of commenters who had no idea of what goes on in the world.
I am not a praying person and neither do I have the financial resources, but I will do my part and link the blogs to spread the word, just maybe it will find a person who can help.

Ah yes. That situation depresses me. I've been reading and watching the news about it. So sad. I'm going to go over to her blog and read more. Thanks for the link.
I'm glad you didn't beat yourself up too bad. See! I told you we're all out there. LOL
CUTE video. Oh my. I just wanna pinch those cheeks!!
That video is too stinking cute!
Thanks so much for continually raising our awareness. And enough about Mommy Dearest! You're the Best..and Z knows it!!
BTW, I'm a finalist for a Pretty Neat Blog Award. Sure would appreciate your vote! Please come by to see me to get the details. Thanks!!
I didn't even NOTICE your living room until you mentioned it. We must share the same decorator! Martha Stewart, right? I'm so into all your causes...thanks once again for turning us all on to something so very important. And, of course you know that The Z Man is awfully darn cute! I actually thought of you when I posted today...come by my place to see how to Pay It Forward during this Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Glad to hear your day was better.
