Its raining....pouring....and the temperature is dropping. Supposedly we are going to wake up to ice in the morning.
My parents are spending the night at my house tonight. That way.....my mom will already be here to watch Zander while I slip n slide to work. And that will put my dad closer to work too.
He helped me clean out my garage this evening too so I could put my car in the garage. I don't mind cleaning snow off of it....but its quite a b***ch to get ice off of it. Jeeps just don't warm up fast.....well, at least mine doesn't.
I finished reading The Host this weekend. I really liked it. What a great plot! Stephenie Meyer told a great story and wrapped it up all nice and neat in the end. I hope someone takes this book and makes it into a miniseries. It was a long book and I would hate to see it chopped up into a movie....especially since I didn't like the way Twilight was chopped up and it wasn't nearly as complicated or long of a story. I read somewhere once where Stephen King prefers his books as miniseries - so there is time for the whole story to be told as well. Sometimes, you just can't do it in a movie.
Mamahut gave this book to me and now its my turn to pass it on. I'll be giving this to Tricia @ Hippie Family next. I hope she likes it.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I basically read that book, did some cleaning on my house, I'm still addressing Christmas cards to get in the mail....and as always - laundry, dishes and chasing a toddler around the house.....

I will look for this book..I always enjoy a good book! I don't miss cold weather at all especially working in it!! Be careful!
I am a BIG fan of Mini-series when talking about a book of any length or complication... so many books aren't done justice in 2 hours or less.
My big example of that is Pride & Prejudice. I MUCH prefer the long mini-series version because there's SO much more Characater development - and the Characters are what make Jane Austen's books wonderful!!

It is really warm in Jersey today. Are you jealous?
Ice is the thing we have to worry about here... more than snow. We hardly get snow. But ice is common. And not only on the roads, but it will freeze tree limbs which break under the weight and fall on power lines. Bummer!

That sounds like an interesting book. I finally bought Twilight--but who knows when I'll read it!
