So, since living with my parents these last few weeks (holy crap, has it been weeks already?) my Dad has since retired. So now he and Zander are spending every day together and Z is quickly becoming 'Grandpa's boy'. While I'm happy they are bonding....I feel like I'm slowing losing MY little guy - my "Momma's boy'! I'm pretty territorial so this makes me sad.
Yesterday while I was at work, my Dad and Zander were laying on the couch and apparently had the following conversation:
Grandpa: Are you pawpaw's boy?
Z: No
Grandpa: NO? Are you Chock's boy?
Z: No
(My Dad continued to name off all of his brothers, which he has 7 of and each time Z said no)
Grandpa: Are you Karla's boy?
Z: (Nodding his head) Okay
Awww....that's MY boy!
Then, last night we were going to bed and Z insisted he was going to sleep with 'pawpaw'. I tried telling him that Grandma and Grandpa needed a break and that Mommy wanted Zander to sleep with her. But, when he gets his mind set on something....its like moving a brick wall to get him to change it. So, he kept following my Dad around the house with his pillow and blankets making sure he didn't go to bed without him. I finally relented, kissed him goodnight, and went to check my email. I no longer sat down at the computer than Zander came in with his pillow and blankets.
Z: Hi Momma. Go sleep.
So, I got to snuggle up and sleep with my little Z afterall.
I'm not losing him to the Grandparents yet!!!!

what a sweetie!! I am sure he wants to get back to "normal" just as bad as mom does!! Have you heard anything yet?
