Tids-N-Bits

I had a really good weekend...finally, right?

Zander and I hung out Friday night and he got to do something new for his very first time. I'll post pictures of that later.

Saturday night we had a women's dinner at our church. I went with my mom. I'd say about 300 women were there..it was really fun. The dinner was catered by Andre's (delicious) and they had 2 female comedienes there doing their schtick! They were pretty funny. Then they announced that the next women's retreat would be this October at Trout Lodge. I haven't been on one of these retreats yet, but I'm really thinking seriously about going this year. I'm still trying to find my place in this church and I think this would be a great opportunity.

Sunday morning Zander and I went to church with my parents. Zander cried when I left him in his class, but he settled down and had a really good time. He even drew me a picture....that he later crumpled up and threw on the floor. But I saved it and I'll get it all straightened out. I have to put it in that 'baby book' I swear I'm going to make some day.

Ok, could I BE any whiter????

Today, I'm taking a 1/2 day off from work because I'm meeting with my contractor to pick out carpet and kitchen cabinets. YAAAY!! I can't wait until this is all done!

So, I had said a long time ago I was doing the online dating thing and I would blog about it. I haven't blogged about it because there really hasn't been anything to blog about. And...if anything good happens....I don't want to jinx it. However, I went out with a really nice, intelligent, good looking normal guy last night. We met for coffee and talked for hours.

Here is a little bit about a guy I did NOT go out with:

He hates to read. He likes to build big 'impractical' trucks then gets bored with them, sells them and builds another one. He likes to fly to CO on a moments notice when Vale gets pounded with 6 inches of fresh powder. His profile picture is captioned "Hammered on Halloween."

Seriously....he posted a pic of himself hammered.....on Halloween!

Whatever!!!

LOVE it when you post these little tidbits. We always had trouble leaving The Wild One by herself in Sunday School. In fact, we had a difficult time taking her to church. But guess what? She's a much more frequent church-goer than her parentals now. Who'da thunk it? And as for Hammered on Halloween...that's definitely a detriment, but the worst would be a man who doesn't read!

Don'tcha just love hanging out? I'd so much rather do that than get all duded up to stand around for hours in shoes that pinch my feet!
