My Funny Little Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day! I usually hate this day but not so much this year, because I'm spending it with my favorite lil guy...Zander of course! I got him a Valentine's Day card that really reminded me of him since he has discovered his nose. Here is a picture of the front...the inside says "Couldn't have picked a better son" (then I wrote a bunch of mushy stuff inside so I can put this in his scrapbook and he can read it when he gets older):
He really is learning so much....and I'm not sure where he learns it all. I know his Grandma is to credit for most of it. The other parts he probably picks up on his own. I try to teach him things, but half the time I don't think he is really listening to me. But, regardless of where he is learning, he is like a little sponge soaking it all up. I was reading one of his favorite books to him the other night, its the "Little People Farm" book. Well, there are really no words so we weren't really reading. Its more of a picture book and he loves to look at the pictures and pull up the tabs to see the picture underneath. I was asking him "where is the kitty cat", "where are the flowers"...etc. He's getting really good at picking everything out. He knows most of the animals, but not the fruit or vegetables. At one point I asked him "where's the ear of corn"? Now I don't know why I asked it that way, I usually just say "where's the corn"? So the ear part threw him off....so he pointed to his ear. I couldn't really tell him he was wrong...he just heard the first part and went with it.
While I love to play with him, one of my favorite parts of the day is him falling asleep next to me on the couch. I have him lie down with me on the couch every night with the tv on because he is such a light sleeper I want him to be able to sleep through some noise. I just love it when he cuddles up next to me. He looks so peaceful and angelic.....I just want to squeeze him. It just makes me feel so blessed to be his mom. I hope I always remember this feeling...even when he is older and talking back. God really did pick the right little boy for me!!!

Z and the Hershey's Kiss!
Happy Valentine's Day, Z! Mommy loves you!!!
