Tids and Bits

Rain. That pretty much sums up the whole weekend. Rain, severe storms, lightening, thunder, oh....and some hail this morning! I think I'm getting grumpier every day. I figured the weather would start getting better by now. Well, I figured wrong. I believe we've had no less than 3 months of rain now. Oh, a nice day here and there....just enough to sucker you into believing spring was here.....than BAM! Rain! Did I mention before how warm and utterly beautiful the weather was in Mexico? (sigh) My grass is so tall and wet now I will need a machete to trim it down before I mow it...well, before my mom mows it anyway. Hey, don't judge me. I don't make her do it. I don't even ask her to do it....she LIKES it! I know that's weird, but she argues with me when I tell her I'll do it. With all the rain I'm letting her do it now. Freshly cut wet grass will absolutely push my sinuses over the edge. I'll mow it when its 90+ degrees outside. Ok, enough complaining about the rain for now. I know many others have it a lot worse. At least we didn't get hit with tornadoes like others around the country did. There have been a lot of tornadoes this year. VP Cheney probably had some sort of machine built that can cause bad weather. Bush and his administration like to keep people down and out and needy you know. I just threw that in there to tic off any of the 28% of people that still approve of Bush. Hey, if you're offended by that...so what...I'm offended that you're not offended by Bush! I told you I was crabby!!!


Well, I had wanted to take Zander to the park this weekend, but (yeah, I hate to mention it again)....it rained. It rained so much that the park would have been soaked long after it stopped. I'm sure Z would have had fun anyway, but I wouldn't want to put him in my car without hosing him off first. So, yesterday, he and I went for a walk with Grandma and Grandpa and Anakin. Grandpa pushed Z in his stroller and Z just sat back and chilled. Anakin loved the walk....well, for him its more of a waddle. Hopefully we can walk him into better shape this summer....me too for that matter. Of course he did stop to smell EVERY blade of grass I think. Z and Ani and I took another walk tonight. We just walked around the block. I can't go too far with Anakin yet. I have to remember #1. he's out of shape and #2. he takes like 3-4 steps for every one of mine. Z just zones out when we go for a walk. I wonder what he is thinking about...



Zander did not sleep well this weekend. One thing I hate more than storms right now.....is the process of getting 2yr molars in. Z's been working on them for over a month now. He has woken up crying out in the middle of the night. He sometimes does this thing, where in his sleep, he crawls backwards down my bed when he's crying....like he is trying to get away from the pain but can't. He's really restless and kicks a lot. For some reason....Saturday and Sunday, he got up at 6:00. Now seriously...that wasn't necessary. I made him lay in bed until 7:00. I tried to explain that Mommy doesn't get up earlier on the weekend than she does during the week....its not sane. This morning he at least slept until 7:00. I did get up at 4:00 to give him Tylenol. I was still awake when the hail started at 4:21. Then about 5:30 he started crying out...so I put some Orajel on his gums. It took several minutes, but he finally settled down and then slept until 7:00. I can feel the very tips of teeth coming in waaaay in the back. You know, when you put Orajel back there....you have to be CAREFUL and QUICK. Those baby teeth get you and its PAIN CITY!!!! I'm praying for teeth to hurry up and come through. The 2 year molars are the last of his teeth and then hopefully we're done with this til he starts losing them in a few years. Even that shouldn't be as bad....I hope!

Something else that happened this weekend....my laptop got a virus. Friday night it kept opening web pages out of the blue. By Saturday I couldn't get to the Internet, except for the ads that kept popping up. It got worse with everything I did to try and get rid of it. I couldn't restore it to an earlier date because either the virus took out my restore dates, or my computer never created any???? So, I got all my important info backed up on my external hard drive (which I have thanks to my Reuters Points) and I had to reinstall the operating system and everything back on. To top that off, I guess I somehow damaged my network adapter and had to buy a new one of those too. Wasn't planning on doing any of that this weekend.

Needless to say, I need another vacation!!!
