I will finish my pity party post tomorrow....but not today, because today is Friday Foto Finish Fiesta!
This week I chose to post a picture of my Grandparents, my Mom's parents. Grandpa robbed the cradle when he married Grandma...he was 26 and she was 16...but they were still married for 63 years! They had 8 children.....they lost 3 of them before my Grandpa passed away in 1986 and my Grandma in 2001. I used to love to visit their farm...it is where some of my happiest childhood memories are. I've been thinking about my Grandma a lot this week for some reason...she was one of the wisest, most hard working and God-fearing loving people I've ever known.

I love you both and miss you dearly!!!
If you want to participate in the fiesta, then you need to head on over to Candid Carrie and join the others!
Have a great weekend!

I love old photos. I have some of my grandma as a baby from 1930. Maybe I should post them.
Aww this makes me miss my MaMaw & PaPaw...don't you love the memories from when we were kids??
Z will be so glad to have that picture and those memories when he's older.
I love pictures of the previous generations. Especially when they come with stories. Thanks
I love hearing some of the stories behind photos - and, hope to know more!! :)
They look like such a sweet couple. They look soooo happy!
Look at that sweet smile. She looks like a kind and beautiful woman.
They look so sweet! And 8 kids Wow!
Great picture; your grandma had kind eyes
I've been thinking of my grandfather lately ...he passed away July 22, 1998. Its hard to believe its been 10 years. I miss my Pap and wish he was still here to see my girls. If I'd had a boy, I would have liked to name him Benton Riley, in honor of my grandfather.
Thanks for sharing your picture!
What a nice story! And wonderful pic. Thanks for sharing!
shes proud of you, ya know... sewing, taking care of Z... she knows it's been a crappy week too.. glad it's over.. Miss T and I may be at work on monday, if she's not still sick...
What a lovely photo. They both look so kind.
How wonderful! I bet you have some great stories to share with Z as he grows up.
And the drive in IL won't bother us any...we're from Nebraska! It's all corn & silos here.
Old Photos are the best. HUGS Most of my Great Grandparents are passed I think I have one left, I could be wrong though.
