What a LONG & tiring weekend!!!!
Friday night we moved the swingset.........in 2 pieces..........
All I can say is.....that thing is honkin' heavy!!!! My BIL, John, had it all worked out (in his head) and was pretty well prepared I'd say. It took a truck, a trailer, a 4 wheeler, 6 people and a Jeep Liberty escort ........ok, well the Jeep escort was because I was driving in front of John's truck with my Jeep and my nephew was driving behind John's truck in his Grandpa's Jeep. It just looked kind of funny...... a truck....pulling a pirate ship.....flanked by Jeeps.
Saturday was the family reunion and I think a good time was had by all. Not everyone showed up.....but the ones that did had a good time. I have to admit that my mom, Zander and I went to go eat at a local barbeque place in town while the actual horseride was taking place. It is kind of a tradition with my mom and I that we eat at this barbeque place whenever we're in town. Then we went to a different cemetery in town because I needed one more picture of something for one of my Fx4 posts. Then, we picked up some slaw from KFC and it was back to the reunion.
I didn't get to talk to too many people as I was running around like a mad woman trying to make sure Zander didn't kill himself......like when he jumped off of the haywagon.......or touched the electric fence (I think I'm still having mini heart attacks every time I think about that one).....or dove head first off the Little Tikes playfort thing......or kept running towards the horses in the barn. I was dead on my feet when I got home that night. Of course, Zander had slept for 2 hours on the way home......so he wasn't nearly as tired. Not fair!!!
I didn't take one pic at the family reunion....they would have all been blurry for all the running I was doing. My sister did take pics though....so I will post some of hers when I get them. It really was a good time. I'm just grouchy from being tired and from being sore in moving the swingset. I'll get over it.
I did get some cool stuff I wanted to rub in share.....
I won these a couple of weeks ago.....Pop'rs:
So far, I've only tried the cocoa flavor in my chocolate milk. It was very good!!! Took me back to my childhood, reminded me of the pop rocks I used to LOVE!!! Ok, I still love them!!! Anyway, I haven't had much chance to use them for Zander yet. But I might here soon. His appetite has seriously increased since Friday. Tonight, he got a Happy Meal and ate most of his fries and 3 1/2 chicken nuggets. He would have eaten the other 1/2, but Anakin took it out of his hand.......so he cried. We were at my mom's house.....she was going to go back to McDonald's and buy him more nuggets. I talked Z into a hot dog......he ate 2 hot dogs!!! That was a lot of food!!! He has been eating like that all weekend......and starting to eat more things than he used to. So, maybe if I actually cook this week, I'll pull out the Pop'rs!!!!
So, thanks to Veggie Mom and the Pop'rs family for these......we will enjoy these. I'm rationing them for now. ;)
Then, I also got this basket.....Thanksgiving Chocolate Lovers' Coffee basket.....how nice is this????
And Giddy liked the strings of paper that lined the inside of the basket.
There are 2 different kinds of coffee, 2 different kinds of hot chocolate and 2 boxes of chocolate dots (1 milk and 1 dark).....YUMMY!!!!
Thanks, Ronda, for this basket o'goodies.......being that it is for chocolate lovers.....its PERFECT for me!!! It was a wonderful prize to win......THANK YOU!!!
Bushism Of The Week:
(I thought this one was oh so appropriate for this week)
We got plenty of money in Washington. What we need is more priority.

You did have a busy week!! I am glad you got your pirate ship...Zander will love it! I am so very glad you liked the Thanksgiving Coffee Basket...it is one of my favorite companies!
Bush's recent statement saying "If we don't do something this sucker is going down!" will, I am sure go down in history as one of the finest remarks made by a statesman! I honestly can't laugh anymore...it is too sad!
Have a great day!
Whew! Busy weekend... I'd say you got more accomplished than I did.
How is Zander liking the playset?
What a full and exhausting weekend! I know you must be worn out, but what fun memories you made. And now there will be MILLIONS of photo ops on the new playset!
I have never heard of Pop'rs - is it like candy?
Tag, you're it!
I remember when Essie was little and people would want to go to the beach and "relax and have fun" and I just couldn't imagine what they were smoking that would make them think taking an 18-month-old to the beach would be either of those things!!!
UGH!!
I can remember being so tired of running after Wy that I would have paid strangers money to go after him!
I can't wait to see the swing set when you get it all put together.
What a lucky so and so you are!
It looks like your on a winning streak and need to go play the Lotto!
Holy cow - you are one busy mama. It rained all weekend in Jersey, so we stayed inside. And I didn't do a damn thing.
Congrats on all your lovely gifts:)
You were as busy as I was this weekend!! I am exhausted!!
Ah Bush, that man of many great words that will amuse us for eternity! Oh, and the worst president ever, almost forgot that one!!!
Glad you got your swingset, Z will love it!
I'm tired just reading about your weekend!
Also a little relieved that I am not the only one that worries and chases my little one around during family gatherings. Or anything for that matter. I can't let him out of my sight for a minute!
Wow--that was a busy weekend! Sounds like you had fun though. It's very hard to attend parties w/ a toddler--it's the same way w/ Pickle--lots of chasing and not much socializing!!
