I've got nothing today it seems.....so I found a little video for you....
With all of the politics that has been shoved down our throats for over a year now.....I started thinking about what initially peaked my interest in politics. Yeah, I know.....everyone should be because its good for the country to be involved....but when you are a punk teenager with other things on your mind....politics doesn't usually rate really high.
The first election I was eligible to vote in was Bush/Clinton/Perot. Perot with all of his charts and his big ears totally made politics interesting for me. I was sucked in. Anyone remember his running mate, Admiral Stockdale? Classic.....
Here is an old SNL video from that time......hilarious....and it makes me miss Phil Hartman...

I am much older than you...It was the Watergate hearings on TV in the summer when I was 15! I couldn't believe it!
I have followed politics ever since!
I am proud to say...all of my children vote and are informed and can tell you not just who they are voting for but why! They are not mean but respectful of others and their opinions! They make this Mama for Obama really proud!
Brilliant! I miss Phil Hartman too, he was so funny and talented.
I'm starting to think SNL is the ONLY thing good about election year... years....
That is classic!! I love SNL!
That's a classic for sure! Poor Phil Hartman--what a shame. I saw Dana Carvey on Leno last night and he is funny as ever!! Thanks for the laugh!!
My hatred for George W. Bush really motivated me to get political. Now I vote in every election (even local stuff). I don't want idiots making important decisions for me.
