Show Me

Of the last 26 elections....Missouri has gone with the winning candidate 25 times!
That is a pretty good record in over 100 years!

Keeping that in mind...remember Barack Obama was in St. Louis last weekend and over 100,000 people showed up to his rally.

Well, John McCain was in a suburb of St. Louis yesterday.
In comparison, his crowd was about 2500. Now, to be fair, it was a weekday....

On a side note, why do people do this to their kids? It looks like they are going to throw the kid.....and the kid looks scared!!!

St. Louis in no way represents all of Missouri.....but, for an historically Republican state...the tides are turning....we are now a "light" blue state.
Keep your eye on Missouri Nov. 4th.....I sure hope we don't disappoint....

David Letterman is tooooo funny:

Note to Zander:

ZMan, I was thinking about Obama today as I heard he is traveling to visit his ailing grandmother. I started thinking about how much I admire this man. He has brought me hope for our future and dared to make me believe in my fellow man again. I have been so angry the past few years. The middle class, my class, has been stepped on and beaten down. I just felt like no matter what I did, things were getting worse. There is so much corruption in the government and the will of the people has been forgotten. It seems it is only remembered during an election.

But I am not the only one to feel this way. I am so excited to see people stand up and speak their mind. Whether people are for Obama or not....they are involved. We must always care about who we put in charge of our country.....because there are consequences. This has been all too apparent in the last 8 years.

I personally have never paid so much attention to what is going on around me as I did prior to these last 8 years. And I will never take my eye off what is happening in my country again.

I respect Barack Obama so much. I admire the way in which he has handled himself. I want him to be our President and bring respect and dignity back to our country and to the Office of the President Of the United States of America.

I hope that I can still say these things after he has been president for several years....I think I will! He has been the most inspiring person of my generation for me personally.

As you grow up, I want you to be as proud as I am to have been born in this country. I want you to be involved.....to make a difference when you can...and to stand up for what you believe in.

I agree - well said. One of the most important things for me, that I'm trying to pass to the girls, is that no matter WHO the President of the United States is, he or she deserves our respect... not our blind following... but our respect.

It is great to see Americans actually paying attention to what is going on in the political world. And I agree Respect does does not require blindly following.

That poor child! It's like their parents want the notoriety of having their children held by a potential president that they don't see that their child is frantic!!

LOL
I can't stop laughing at the frightened face on that little girl. That is TOO funny. Ok...I feel a little bad she looks so scared.

Great letter to ZMan. Perfectly stated.

I love that clip where McCain says he will vote for Obama!!! Brilliant!

And I love your note to Zander, I feel the same way for Ned, this is a historic moment in his lifetime and I hope that he gets to reap the benefits of Obama. Whoever the new president is they will inherit the terrible mess this country is in, but this mess was created by the Bush administration so please people, let's not go down that same road again!

My interest in politics was sparked by a hatred of Bush too. Now I am an avid CNN watcher (And the Daily Show - I love Jon Stewart). If Obama doesn't win, I just might have to move to Canada.
