Birthdays Galore

See that man holding the cutest little boy ever? Well, that's my Dad - Z's Grandpa. And yesterday was his birthday! He was the big 66!

He is very excited because in the next couple of weeks he will be retiring. Oh, he's got big plans. He is going to do some little odd jobs around my house.

And sometimes when he is over at my house, he is going to make his way over to a family friend's house that lives near me and convince this friend (who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's) to go walking with him.

And he is going to spend a lot of time with Z. He says they are going to play, and work in the garage, and just go driving around.

I hope he does do a lot of those things (especially the odd jobs around my house)....but I have a feeling there will be a lot of westerns watched and naps taken as well!

He's worked hard though.....so he deserves it!

And, I'm taking bets on how long it takes before Z totally gets on his nerves......

There was another birthday in the family this week as well.

Monday, Ground Hog's Day, was also my baby Anakin's birthday. He is 5 years old now!

I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday I was picking out this little furball from all his brothers and sisters.

I got him a toy ground hog and some treats to celebrate his birthday.

The package said to give him 2 treats a day....so on his birthday he got 2 treats. I got home from work yesterday and somehow the package of treats had mysteriously been knocked off the countertop (I have a feeling a black ninja like cat had something to do with this) and then broken into (that would be the fat white dog).....they were ALL gone.

He had the nerve to still be licking the empty package in front of me!!!

******

So sorry I have been a bad blogger recently....I'm having laptop issues AGAIN!!!

I will get this taken care of soon or my name isn't Z's Mom!!!
Stupid laptop!!!

So, tomorrow do you want to hear about

me versus the Cat Lady

or

my piercings and tattoos?

It doesn't matter....the future has already been written folks!!!

My Pooter turns five in April!
He's the best dog ever and The last five years have been SO fun!
I'm glad you got Anakin good treats and a toy, they deserve it.
I bet your Dad is so excited, I remember when my Dad retired all his big plans landed him in his chair napping or on the boat sailing. Not many chores were ever completed :)

I vote for the cat lady. Cat ladies are always strange characters. My MIL is a cat lady.

I hope that no matter what he does, your dad enjoys his retirement. My in-laws have the best retirement ever. They can do what they want, when they want, because they want. Sounds like paradise to me:-)

Zander and Grandpa are so adorable together. Make sure that 'to do' list is long and enjoy every moment!
Your dog is so cute! We have a white pom and can't seem to keep her clean. I end up taking her to the groomer to get her shaved ... just too much hair.
