Playing Catch Up

Hello out there! It's been a long time since I have actually posted anything. So, here's what has been going on in my world:

Z is a pain in the butt! Yep, I said it! He's got so much energy and doesn't know what to do with it all.....other than annoy everyone. Ok, I'm sure its not just that he's annoying....its probably more that I'm still out of patience. He's still cute though...and that's why I haven't given him away yet. I almost sold him on Craigslist the other day though. He threw my keys away and we almost didn't figure it out in time to dig them out of the trash. But, my Dad said he would have to buy him if I sold him...so there was really no point in taking the time to list him then. Especially since we're all still in the same house.

Which leads me to the status of my house - um, NOTHING still has been done yet. Yep, we are at 5+ weeks now and no one has so much as picked up a burnt piece of paper off of my dirty floor. I did call my insurance agent and his assistant last week. Actually, my dad called first. I didn't like how they blew him off...so they got to listen to me then. I hate when I have to go into "bitch mode" to get anything done. I shouldn't have to. I'm a paying customer. But, 2 days later my public adjuster told me that we got 2 new adusters assigned to my case. They are supposed to meet him out at my house this week. Things better start moving. I'm a desperate woman with not much to lose at this point. I'd already threatened to write a letter of complaint to the Dept of Insurance. However, I will also be sending said letter to the Better Business Bureau and my State Attorney's office if they mess with me after this week. There are going to be a lot of people soon that will know how unhappy I am.

By the way, the insurance company is STATE FARM INSURANCE.

In case anyone was wondering...again...that is STATE FARM INSURANCE.

Maybe I should start posting little tidbits I am learning along the way...in case anyone else has a fire and would like to know some things to look out for or things I didn't know....that I wish I did.... that I do now. Feel free to ask any questions....I'll answer them in a post.

Oh, and lastly, I've started dating again. I joined an online dating site and...sadly...men are just as childish as I remember them to be. Oh, I'm trying to stay positive and keep an open mind...I'm just a negative nelly on this blog. Oh sure, they are fun for a minute or two. But, they play more mind games than women do. And they talk about women! Whatever! Maybe if I get any funny stories about them I'll post those too. Probably not though...they are more sad than anything.

Well, one funny thing I've noticed about some men are some of the stupid things they put in their profile. This is what you initially read when they are matched with you. One of the questions is...what is the one thing you are most passionate about? Do you know how many men just out and out say sex? Seriously! I mean, that is supposed to inspire me to want to date you? I'm thinking....I'm passionate about my child, being a good parent, being good to the planet and the wildlife on it. But they just say....sex!

I hope I can raise Zander to be a little less shallow than that.

Oh, one more thing.....after typing this all out on my parents' computer......I've decided I really don't like Vista.....XP is still better!
