So I was going to make this fabulous Eclair Cheesecake for Easter. But then a friend of mine made these adorable cupcakes and brought them to work. They looked much easier and more Easter-y (I made that up).
(But, Susie, I will definitely be making your Eclair cheesecake....I think I'm going to save it for when I finally get to move back home....it will be my celebration cake....and I'll eat the whole thing myself and be sick....but I'll be in my house...so I won't care.)
So here is one of the cupcakes I made....cute right?
It is a spice cake with buttercream icing. The eggs are Whoppers' Robin eggs....yummy!
Zander enjoyed one...and another one later.....and another one....
And Ella got one after her nap was over....
Then later on in the day Zander got more candy in his 'party tub'....he decided to start with some more Robin eggs....good choice I say....
Then he got the obligatory hollow chocolate Easter Bunny....which right off the bat he knows how to eat that thing.
You start with the ears!
Then he decided to stuff Robin eggs through the ear holes. Quite creative!
And I just threw this pic in because I thought she was cute....here's Ella....she is trying to smile for me AND chew her candy at the same time....
Believe it or not, Zander also got new toothbrushes for Easter too.....hope they helped remove all the sugar....

So cute..cupcakes and the little ones eating them too!
I talked my nieces into believing that the eb comes back the night after easter and if you leave your candy outside he'll give you a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a toy for letting him save that candy for next year!
I.E. stop by my desk for leftovers..
p.s. I am going into therapy, my mother got NO Robin's eggs so I didn't get to do fake lipstick with the girls..
sigh.....
Karla: Love the cupcake idea AND the snaps (butofcourse!), but when you make that eclair cheesecake, please make sure you invite some of your bloggy buds over (aka, moi?). Wouldn't want you to have to eat the WHOLE thing by yourself now, would we?
Those are some really snazzy cupcakes! I love them!
Oh. And I bought a big, 48 oz. bag of Whopper eggs yesterday. Yeah. And I wonder why my tummy is a aching! LOL
