Today's Talking points.....oh wait, I don't support that party...

So, I thought I should recap what happened on Super Fat Tuesday, in case I don't read that blog again for years and I forget what happened. John McCain was the clear winner for the Pubes...however, the little upset was....Mitt Romney didn't do so well and Mike Huckabee did better than expected (the Colbert bump?). The Dems race was close all night....and I believe the delegates were still being sorted out yesterday as well (see... if they went by the popular vote....they would have already determined the outcome). Anyway, as of the last time I heard, Obama got the most delegates. But, there was no clear winner......so onward they go down the campaign trail to battle it out.

Today Mitt Romney suspended his campaign for the "good of his party".....so he doesn't help the Dems win....because therefore, that means we surrender in Iraq....and the terrorists win. Spoken like an idiot!!! He will be missed...like a boil on one's buttock, I imagine.

Zander returned home today after spending most of the week at his Grandma's house. She kept him at her house because Dad was off work. He has a kidney stone that just won't pass. They tried to do surgery last week to remove it, but they couldn't get to the stone. So he has a stint in...but he still hasn't passed it. So, he said he is supposed to go back to the doctor on Monday for more tests. We'll see what they say then. Anyway, its good to have the Z-man back.....I sure missed the little guy. He's jabbering so much now, I have no idea what he's saying, but he sure is cute. He can say "cracker" and "treat" clearly though...well, its more like "tweet" than "treat", but its still clear what he wants.

I'm happy because I'm off work tomorrow. I am planning on taking Zander up to work for a little while though. He's grown up a lot since he was last there....he's quite the big boy now.

Well, this should be a pretty busy weekend. While I don't have any plans for Saturday, that I can remember, Sunday is pretty full. I work in the nursery Sunday morning....then the family is going out to eat to celebrate Dad's 65th birthday......then there is Nikki's baby shower (which she doesn't know about). Speaking of Dad's birthday, he was really born in September. However, since he was born out in the country - in the boot heel - in a car.....his birth certificate wasn't filled out until years later. For some reason, the doctor put on the certificate that his birthday was Feb. 3rd. So, since Dad has been starting to plan for his retirement, he is stuck with this date as his birthday. The doctor that filled it out is dead and the records office where it was filed burned down. There is nothing the government can do to change this as there is no proof otherwise. So, he wants to start celebrating his birthday in February now because "its too confusing to celebrate it in September but to tell people its in February when you go to a doctor and such". But, the good news is....he'll get to retire a few months early!
