Zander's Room
His room is my favorite room in the house. Its fun and detailed and I LOVE it! When I was pregnant I wanted the perfect nursery. But I wasn't thinking pastels. I love all things cow. So, together with my friends, Debbi and Jackie, we recreated The Little People Farm in Zander's room. We started this project when I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant and I literally put the finishing touches on 2 days before he was born. I couldn't stop messing with it. I couldn't stop looking at it either. I would go into his room every night and just sit and stare. I would wonder what it would be like filled with this new little life. Would he like it as much as I do?
Here it is before furniture:
Here it is now:
So, yes, I know his name shows up a lot in this room. You have to understand that this pregnancy severely affected my memory. What if I forget what I named him?
My friend, Kris, was kind enough to provide me with the letters above his bed. And since, Z and her son, Jaxen, are BFF's they both have to have the same bed (although Jax has the dark wood color) with their names above the bed. Its what BFFs do!
I love his room even more now....because he LOVES it!
He likes to go around telling me what everything is.
And of course the room is even better now because I don't have to imagine how it
would be with my baby in it anymore!

This is the coolest nursery I have ever seen. Alright, I haven't seen many. I don't get out much In Real Life, but if I did get invited to other people's houses I would bet that this would be the coolest nursery I could ever see!
That room is almost as cute as its occupant!
That is one swank nursery you've got going on! I second Lori's opinion!
You really had the nesting drive in your last trimester, did you? :) You put it to some good use, too.
A girl in my bookclub id her daughters nursery just like that and they even added a swinging screen door on the door frame. It's such a cute idea and I'm jealous of both of you.
That is amazing. I wish I would have thought of that for my former little cowboy.
His room is too cute! And we have that exact same rocking horse!
Oh, and thanks for the link to the free blogger templates. I LOVE my new look too. I can't believe she was giving them away for free! Actually, I liked your template the best, but decided that you would be mad if I uploaded the EXACT SAME template:)
That is so adorable. Great murals, good work!
this is the coolest nursery ever!
Want to come over and do mine? Or, my now almost 2-year-olds room since the opportunity for a nursery has passed.
Wow! What an awesome nursery! Just visiting from SITS, working my way through the latest saucy blogs list! Zander is a cutie pie!

The time you must have put into that room was worth it. Absolutely Fabulous!
Awesome room!!!!! My farm lovin' boy has one similar but without the creative painting! That is amazing...and perfect for a little boy!
Beautiful, I love it! And the little man, I have to say her is even cuter than the room, and that is sayin' alot!
THAT is too cool! Are you always that artistic? He is such a lucky little boy and so darn cute! My favorite part of the mural are the animals with their happy expressions!

LOVE that room! Wow that must have taken forever to paint!!
We have that riding pony too!!
Surfed over from SITS and have to tell you that that is a gorgeous nursery! And what a great idea to use the little people farm as inspiration. My oldest daugthers room was Tinkerbell and has now become Dora. I too remember standing over the girls cribs thinking someday soon there will be a baby lying in there :) Thanks for the memory!
Cute room. Zander is so awesome on that pony. He is adorable and I bet he loves that room as much as you do.
