A Little Somethin' Somethin'.....

Recently I was tagged by Tricia and Kimmers to answer 6 & 7 random things about me, respectively. (I've had a screamin' headache all day....so I hope these make sense) Ok, and I also have to admit, that John Deere Mom just put her list up too....and some of hers kind of fit me as well because we are related in past lives somehow so I did 'borrow' some of her ideas...

1. After watching the movie "Babe", I became a vegetarian for 3 weeks. It just got to be too much of a hassle to order anything at a drive thru.....I know....I'm lame....

2. I took 2 years of Spanish in Jr. high, 4 yrs in high school and 3 in college. I speak it really well when I'm drinking....other than that....not so much. I was able to barter with people in Spanish while I was in Mexico a couple of months ago.....I was pretty proud of that. I don't even do that with people here in English.

3. Like Kimmers, I too can tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue.

4. Its been years, but I used to be able to belch the alphabet.

(I can see that I am NOT painting myself in a very flattering light here, am I?)

5. I always wanted to be a Veterinarian....I don't think I could have ever gotten past having to put animals down on a daily basis though....I become attached instantly.

6. I once threatened an old lady with her own lawn chair. Interesting story.....maybe I'll post about it one day. (see, this one didn't make me sound good either)

7. My blood type is 0 pos...this means I'm a universal donor. I give blood on a fairly regular basis. (Does this one redeem me for all the other things?)

I'm gonna be a rebel and throw in an 8th one because my others were so cheesy I'm feeling generous.

8. I finished 'Twilight' tonight. I have to admit....I REALLY did like it. I won't compare it to my love for Harry Potter because it would be comparing apples to oranges. I didn't want to put it down and that is the sign of a good book. I will be going out tomorrow and buying the next book in the series...'New Moon' I think?

If you all feel so inclined, consider yourself tagged!!! :)

I also received a couple of awards. Wooo Hooo Bippity Boo!!!!
I had given one to my friend Kris...and she loves me so much she wanted me to have it again! Thanks, Kris. I love roses and I don't get them nearly as much as I deserve (like ever)!

Kris is new to bloggyland so please visit her and give her some love and inspiration. Her son is Zanders's BFF, Jaxen....you might remember him from a couple of posts ago... I have to threaten remind her to post every week or so...

I also received an award from John Deere Mom....isn't it cool? It makes me look all tough, don't ya think? BOOYAH!!!

And since I'm borrowing things from other bloggy friends tonight, I'm gonna be like Molly and keep this one all to myself (imagine me saying that with a proper British accent, like hers).

I don't give away awards because I can't be arsed and I want everything all to myself!!!

I got tagged for this too and I haven't got around to it yet, so must work on it.

I love getting awards, even if they really don't mean anything! Congrats!

Congrats on your awards!

I used to want to be a Vet too, but also had fears about euthanizing animals. I worked at a pet store the entire time I was in college, and brought many critters home with me. Hence the reason I now have 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Oh, the old cherry stem bar trick, huh? When I first met my Hubby (in a bar) in college, his was drinking a martinia and then eating the glass. Not plastic. No joke. I think he needs to donate his insides to science when he dies! Talk about intestinal fortitude!! BTW, Uncle Lynn is guesting on my blog today, so please drop by!

I can only speak Spanish when I'm drunk too!

This is how my experience went down:
Get off cruise ship. Get a cab. Don't say a word to cabbie.

Go to Carlos n Charlies. Drink. Leave.

Get a cab. Speak fluently to cabbie about his family and my family. Get back on ship.

To this day my hubby thinks its the funniest story ever!

Ha! I took french for five years, and the most random words come back to me at really odd times...
Meanwhile, I also just finished Twilight. Apparently it's a growing epidemic in the blogosphere ;)

Alright Miss Lady. My randomness is yours for the viewing.

Congrats on the Kiss Ass award and the pink rose one too. (You can tell which one I like best?)

I'm impressed by your many talents, burping the alaphabet, tying cherry knots, etc. I bet you're fun at a party...in Mexico. hehe

I SO want to hear the story about the old lady and the lawn chair. Sounds awesome!

Dude. We were related in a past life. I too agree speaking Spanish is much more fun when drunk. What isn't, though? :)

BTW, I think if Obama saw your cutest little rhyme, Z's Mama for Obama he might just pick you for VP. You should totally send it to him. I'm just sayin.

Your traits make me like you even more!!!
Congrats on your awards :)

I wanted to be a vet when I was little too! Didn't even think/know about the "putting them down" thing. I couldn't have done that either!!

Now that is some kind of list! That was very interesting.

Thanks for posting the tag! I wasn't sure if you'd be too busy following up on all your SITS comments to get to it!

The cherry stem thing is a great party trick... when I wrote up the list I immediately wanted to go buy a jar to make sure I still have the magic touch haha.
