Recovering from SITS Day - I'm Exhausted!

I am so overwhelmed at all of the comments I received today! I was sooo nervous....and all for nothing. You SITStas are awesome!!!! (of course most of you will probably never come back to read this). I have been trying to respond to everyone all afternoon and I don't think I've even made a dent in my comment list yet. I just feel all warm and fuzzy all over - ok, that's probably due to the HOT laptop burning through my legs right now.....you all have over heated my laptop!!!

To answer some of your questions in the comments regarding The Perfect Storm post (locked out of the house):
-Yes, I think my Dad did feel bad and after my initial yelling....I tried to make him feel less bad about it. He is a great guy...

-I think my Dad is Kramer....yes, he is very random.

-When he saw he had 4 missed calls is when he quit trying to make a case for himself. He pretty much knew he was sunk then.

-To top it off.....after all of that.....I don't think anyone has bought any spare keys yet. I guess we didn't learn our lesson after all (so, I guess you'll have to come back for more 'locked out' stories)

-On my drive back home that night, as I was laughing about everything that transpired, I was glad I had something to put in my blog. That is how I think about everything that happens to me now - is this 'blogworthy'?

Regarding the Generate post:
-I'm very blessed in many ways....and sometimes God sends me gentle (and not so gentle) reminders.

-Zander is the best thing in my life - EVER! This is something I don't need a reminder on...I just look into his face and know there is a God. (I knew it before....but how can anyone look at their child and ever question it?)

-I rather like being a single parent most of the time. I'm a control freak so at least I get to make all the decisions (except when Z is telling me what to do).

Regarding the Say What? post with the conversations:
-Again, my Dad is like Kramer....I don't know how else to explain it. He does not have weird hair...he actually hardly has any hair. But, you know how Kramer could say anything to anyone and no one would get mad....but if anyone else would say the same thing it would start an argument? Yeah, my dad can say anything.....(I, unfortunately, did not inherit that from him)

-Tiffany thought it was funny that I called a fart a stinky....and I didn't think it was funny really...until I saw her comment....then I couldn't stop laughing. I got in trouble for saying 'fart' when I was little....so I've always called it a 'stinky'.....I guess I thought that was normal and that is what everyone called it. I might have to do a post dedicated to passing gas to see what everyone calls it.

-I have seriously typed 'fart' and 'stinky' too many times in this post....its like I'm obsessed!

I will resume commenting people back tomorrow!
Thanks to Tiffany and Heather at SITS for featuring my blog today.
I hope everyone enjoyed reading my little stories as much as I love writing them in my blog. This blog is something I hope to pass to Zander one day as documentation of his toddler days. Somewhere in this process, it has also become kind of therapeutic for me.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by......

I'm veklempt....please....talk amongst yourselves.....

Am a day late in visiting your blog and was just about to comment and then saw the 80-something list of other comments and had nothing fresh to add!
So just wanted to say hello and loved your blogs (I have a father-in-law just like your dad and you can have Orlando, I'll have Mr Depp instead).

Thanks for checking in with my blog, Karla. Legare, is pronounced La-gree. It's the name of a street in Charleston and my great uncle's name. Have a wonderful day as you continue to bask in the glory of SITS day! What fun!!

LOL I wasn't allowed to say 'fart' growing up either. We called it 'stinker'. I know you were DYING to know that! Well, when I married, my husband's family called it 'putt putt'. I just don't think you could get a more lame name for something that smells that bad...so now we just call it fart. LOL Nice story, no?

Congratz again on being featured yesterdary!

I don't particulaly like the word fart myself. ANd I tried that whole thing about the boys not saying to use a different word. Well Calob being the smart kid he is started saying ooo I have flagelence. Or I just had a gastronomeical explosion.

Oh yeah got to love those boys. What's a mother to do?

You did a great job of keeping up with the comments as they came through yesterday! I'm super impressed. I responded back to every single commenter (not that day though), and found about 20 blogs that I now visit regularly due to my day at SITS. I've been really surprised how many of the featured bloggers DON'T return the visit......, but then again, I'm sure that's probably because they just don't have the time. :)

We don't use the fart word in my house either. It's furp. Never the f-word.

Congrats on your SITS day!! (When I see SITS, it always reminds me of a Sitz bath after having a baby). Makes me giggle every time.

I also wanted to say that I gave you a Pink Rose. Enjoy. I hope it smells good.

The thing that's great about your posts is that we all can relate to them, and you have such a flair for communicating funny, fresh ideas! You need to keep this blog forever, so Z know's the family history! :)

How did I miss your SITS day? I've never missed a single one. Oh, wait...I've been cleaning the past 2 days like a crazed lunatic...company's coming tomorrow.

I'm sorry I missed it. Please forgive me.

Now...go back and finish reading Twilight. We can discuss later...

p.s. The "F" word isn't allowed in our house, either. We say "toot." Such rebels we are!

I used to lock myself out of my car so often that my husband kept a key taped to the inside of one of my tires. I looked like a mess each time I had to get it out, but usually all the dirt and grime came out in the wash!

Yay! I am so glad you had fun. I gave up trying to respond to all the comments after my SITS day. I have trouble now keeping up with the comments! Just do what you can and don't worry. No one actually expects it...At least I don't.
