Today I will drop off one of my babies and leave him at the vet's office to have surgery. And the pretty little blonde doctor, who I trust as much as I can trust someone with my dog, will remove his bladder stones.
Then I have to leave my baby there overnight for observation and pick him up after work on Friday.
I know its a routine surgery.
I know he needs it.
But it doesn't make it any easier when its someone you love that is going under for any reason - whether they have 2 legs or 4 legs.
So, I will worry.....because its what I do. And I will pray that everything turns out okay....
And this weekend....as I am coddling him and fluffing his pillow....I promise I will give Anakin ice cream or whatever he wants!!!!
Update:
Surgery went very well. Anakin is up and moving around. They are keeping him overnight to monitor him and to also give him more morphine in the morning (lucky dog). Apparently he is flirting with all the vet techs so he's in good hands...

It's true. They are just an extended part of our family. Our love for them is just the same!
